Bridge Authority Commissioners

I’m Mark Flaming and I bring a widely spanning professional background to the Hood River-White Salmon Bridge Authority, including microfinance, banking, retail finance, and outdoor/sportswear.

I believe that the Hood River-White Salmon Bridge is important because it links the communities of the central Gorge. As a resident that has lived on both sides of the Columbia River, I have experienced how our current bridge has made it possible for all of us to build social circles, create organizations, and grow businesses in a Gorge-wide community.  Our new bridge is necessary for our communities to grow together into the next decades.

I am honored to join the impressive group of colleagues that have brought the Bridge Authority to where it is today. I hope to draw from my professional experience in financing large infrastructure and development projects to add value to our collective efforts. I will work hard for a bridge that links everyone in our communities with affordable access to all of our Gorge communities.
